Umm no, this is more like a case of "Hay we're giving out free gifts, but only if you jump through hoops, walk the tightrope and dance the hula for us first." Not only is there no announcement ingame, (I only knew about it through this website) the ncsoft site is slow and buggy. If you read the other thread, you'll see that lots of people are having trouble accessing their ncsoft accounts.

The reason that the site is slow is that the "must have it now" GW community is basically doing a DoS attack on their site. Slow due to DoS yes, buggy no.

Yeah, I was able to test names and passwords until I remembered mine and picked up the panel with absolutely no lag. It's actually moving much faster than Guru atm (which isn't hard, but whatever).

Just wait, now there'll be another stampede and it'll slow to a crawl again.

Well it may be working fine now but I don't like the fact how they make people sign up to a site that they will most likely never use again and you have to give them your email which they will then sell to the other company's and they can then spread it even further.

I also don't like giving out my account name either, it's like giving away half of your password, I don't like how they have made something simple so difficult and annoying.
I always stick to a golden rule in life, if something is to annoying and just stresses you out then don't bother, it's just not worth the hassle.

Imagine if Guildwarsguru.com was offering a free mini pet CD KEY to the first 40,000 people. Do you think you would be able to get on? Sometimes pages load way to slow on Guru as it is now imagine if a free mini pet was offered! heehe...

Yeah to many people trying to load NSsoft pages at the same time so you have to wait your turn before your page loads. I got my 4th Year Panel but it did take ALONG time for pages to load.. you must be patient.

I'm having some problems with this promotion, i have 2 game accounts linked to 1 NCSoft account and i used the free coupon with my 1st account but now the option for the coupon doesn't show up on the 2nd account.

Is this promotion for 1 NCSoft account only? If so that sucks.

yes,it clearly said on the promotion webpage that it was one per NC Soft store account, so if you have multiple game accounts then its only one

Each game account is eligible for a free storage pane. We have tested this on our side.

Say that a player has one NCsoft Master account and two GW accounts linked to it. Both of those GW accounts should get one free storage pane each.

If this is not the case and people are having trouble getting a free storage pane for multiple game accounts on a single NCsoft Master account, please do contact customer support.

Contact support....that's a bit of a joke right there.
I cant remember how many times ive contacted support because my account is already linked (something i did NOT personally do, i made the mistake a long time ago and bought a charicter slot...if i knew then what i know now...oh well) and still cant get the storage because all i get from support is a useless message with NO fallow up with the needed info for logging in. Its sure going to be interesting to see just how many others still dont have it after the "free storage promotion" is over.
BTW, the last support ticket i put in on this matter was 4 or 5 days ago (5/19). Got the same useless crap.

ANet, please detach yourself from the NCSoft store/whatever, it's without boubt the most horrible system i've ever seen. I can't get anything done through there since my GW account is apparently "already linked" to an NCSoft account i did not create.
